Apple (AAPL.O) CEO Cook said: "There is no increase in the price due to tariffs, that is completely clear." This is a rare statement by Cook to clearly respond to the relationship between iPhone prices and tariffs. Earlier this month, Apple released the iPhone 17 series, raising the starting price of the Pro model by $100. However, compared with last years 128GB storage, this years entry-level Pro is equipped with 256GB of storage space, which may alleviate consumers psychological pressure to a certain extent. Although Cook insisted that the latest price increase has nothing to do with tariffs, the company still felt the impact of Trumps trade policy. Cook said in a recent earnings call that Apple expects to face $1.1 billion in tariff-related costs this quarter, compared with $800 million in the previous quarter.

Walgreens Boot Alliance Inc and CVS Health Corp (NYSE:CVS) plan to seek certification to dispense abortion pills after the FDA allowed retail pharmacies to offer the medicine for the first time in the U.S.

Walgreens said in an email, "We're registering, training our pharmacists, and reviewing our pharmacy network to determine where we distribute products with additional FDA requirements. We'll dispense these in accordance with federal and state laws."

CVS Health plans to seek certification to dispense mifepristone in legal states.

The FDA finalized a rule allowing pharmacists to sell mifepristone on Tuesday.

The health agency finalized the changes after analyzing Danco Laboratories and GenBioPro's additional applications.

The regulation change will make medication abortion, which accounts for more than half of U.S. abortions, more available in states where abortion is allowed.

In view of the abortion issue, retail pharmacists must decide whether to sell the pill and where.
