Luxury Jaguar Land Rover will instruct 29,000 employees and retail associates over the next three years on the design, construction, and maintenance of electric vehicles (EVs).

Tata Motors (NYSE:TTM) claimed that the majority of its dealers' technicians will receive EV training this year in order to "address skills gaps."

The transition to EVs necessitates that automakers retrain their staff on conventional vehicles. Fewer moving parts in EVs may result in fewer well-paying auto manufacturing positions, particularly in engine and transmission factories.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) will retrain "thousands of exceptionally trained automotive engineers and production workers" to work on electrification, digital, and autonomous vehicles.

European EV sales have skyrocketed during the past two years, and limits on cars powered by fossil fuels are on the horizon. Jaguar will be electric by 2025, and all JLR vehicles will be electric by 2030.

Together with Coventry and Warwick universities, JLR developed training materials.

JLR claimed that all plant staff will require training in order to work safely with high-voltage systems.

Karl "Freddy" Gunnarsson, a former diesel and gasoline catalytic converter engineer at JLR, is now aiming to boost the density of electric vehicle batteries in order to increase vehicle range.

Gunnarsson told Reuters, "We will compete on this" "On this side of the business, the CEO is enthusiastic."
